- Click the Insert tab in the ribbon
- Click the Symbols button in the Symbols group
- Select More Symbols from the dropdown
- In the Symbol dialog box, select Special Characters tab
- Scroll down and find Copyright Sign
- Click Insert and then Close

🔧 AutoCorrect Method
Set Up AutoCorrect
- Go to File → Options
- Select Proofing tab
- Click AutoCorrect Options...
- In "Replace:" type:
(c) - In "With:" type: ©
- Click Add, then OK
Pro tip: Word automatically converts (c) to © by default. If it's not working, check your AutoCorrect settings.
🔍 Symbol Dialog Box Methods
Method 1: General Punctuation
- Insert → Symbols → More Symbols
- Set "Font:" to (normal text)
- Set "Subset:" to General Punctuation
- Find and select ©
- Click Insert
Method 2: Unicode Code
- Insert → Symbols → More Symbols
- Click the Character Code box
- Type:
00A9 - Make sure "from:" is set to Unicode (hex)
- The © symbol will be highlighted
- Click Insert
